Want a little mystery to go along with your October hikes? Head to North Salem for an outing at America’s Stonehenge. Theories about the mysterious rock formation’s origins abound, but no one really knows who created the fascinating maze of chambers and ceremonial sites. Used as an astronomical calendar, the formation has been in place — though not intact — for over 4000 years. On-site alpacas and area wildlife sightings make the walking trails found here even more of a pleasure.
