Good Job On Your Dental Health Newburyport

Dental health rankings have been released recently and the results for Massachusetts are looking good. While a dental health ranking for Newburyport or other smaller cities doesn’t exists, we can look at the state level rankings and see what the residents of Newburyport and towns near it are doing right in terms of dentistry.

The study examined twenty-six metrics related to dentistry and scored each state on each one. Here are some interesting findings related to Massachusetts.

Overall, Massachusetts ranked 9th in terms of dental health, dental care, and dental habits. This might not be a surprise considering that Massachusetts has the highest number of dentists per capita of any state (if you don’t count DC). Thanks to Newburyport’s very own Artisan Dentistry and other dentists across Massachusetts, Bay Staters can boast dental health far higher than average.

But it’s not just the dentists putting in all the work. Most of the work of good oral health starts with the patient. On that front, the residents of Newburyport and Massachusetts as a whole have done a great job.

Massachusetts ranked 3rd in terms of percentage of adults who visited the dentist in the past year.
In terms of not drinking sugar-sweetened beverages, Massachusetts ranked 4th.
Massachusetts has the 3rd lowest percentage of adult smokers.

Good job Massachusetts! Give yourself a pat on the back and a healthy treat.
